Master the Art of the Fine Art Nude.
The Nude is one of the most classic Sujets of art, and also a distinct art form within Photography.
In Photography, outstanding work requires more than a vision realized through the mastery of of lighting, framing and selection:
it requires the mastery of interaction with the model.
This Masterclass is for experienced as well as intermediate photographers looking to deepen their craft regarding the lighting and technological aspects of the process, but also to transcend and go beyond these material aspects by deepening their ability to flow with models, thereby achieving outstanding work.

Katya’s inspiration is self-expression. She expresses herself through her physical body as well as her energy body.
Learn from acclaimed Fine Art Photographer Cyril Schirmbeck
Cyril Schirmbeck’s works have been on display in national and international exhibitions as well as fine art photo books for over a decade. He is regularly published as part of the art book “Germany’s Best Photographers”.
As part of the Masterclass, Cyril will provide exclusive insight into his vision on studio lighting that enables unique expression in the nude, including both flash, continuous light and daylight. He will additionally provide insight on image composition/framing, image selection and editing.
Beyond this, Cyril will demonstrate and explain how to best interact with a (nude) model to evoke a state of flow, enabling a state of unique and authentic sensual expression. Herein Cyril integrates his knowledge about breath, body language, spoken language and flow states that he has acquired throughout the years of his work with models as well as in yoga and mindfulness practices.

Masterclass at a glance

During the 4 ½ hour workshop, you will receive insights on lighting, framing, image selection by Cyril Schirmbeck, alongside demonstrations and explanations on interaction with (nude) models to achieve a flow state that creates unique, expressive artworks.
Further, you will have several opportunites to shoot with acclaimed nude model Kateryna Prekrasna, in different lighting situations and studio backgrounds, including daylight, continuous light and flash.
On a practical level, there will be coffee and tea, snacks as well as water available throughout the workshop.

This Masterclass is directed at both professional and amateur photographers who wish to deepen the knowledge of their artistic craft of the Fine Art Nude. While previous experience is a plus, it is not a necessity; more important is a passion and love for art and photography.
